It’s a Chocolate Sunbutter Cream Smoothie–ahhhhh!  This smoothie came about today, to be exact. I don’t know what I was thinking, but am so glad I did! How’s that for a blonde moment that really paid off, lol?

Probably one of the hardest

things about going

through our trials

is that we believe

we are all alone.

But the truth is,

there isn’t anyone

who has ever lived who

hasn’t experienced trials.

And many of the greatest

of them all have gone

through trials beyond

human imagination…

could it be that a trial

is really just

greatness waiting to be born?

I just broke open a coconut and made some milk and flour with it and had placed the coconut milk in the fridge. I hadn’t had my green smoothie for the day, so I pulled it right back out and poured some into the blender. I was aiming for the berries, but noticed some fresh ginger sitting theres, so I grabbed it instead. Then I started pulling out anything that might go with ginger…and this smoothie evolved.

It has a chocolate peanut taste, which is a great combination, with a twist of warmth from the ginger. It hit the spot beautifully, so of course, I had to share!

Shopping List for Chocolate Sunbutter Cream Smoothie

Ok, we know you’re wanting to make healthy changes, and we’re excited to make it as easy, fun, and cheap as possible (we do too, btw!) So we’ve searched to find the best quality organic ingredients for GREAT PRICES and found this ORGANIC MARKET with prices no one else has been able to beat!   • coconut milk
  • USDA Certified organic raw cacao
  • organic sunbutter
  • fresh ginger root (you could use dehydrated)
  • pure unadulterated liquid stevia
  • Pure Organic Bourbon Vanilla Extract
  • banana
  • greens (I used collards and kale)

Chocolate Sunbutter Cream Smoothie

  • Prep Time: under 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 cups

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups coconut milk
1 banana
1-2 cups greens – I used collards and kale
1/2″ fresh ginger root
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
2 tablespoons sunbutter
1 teaspoon stevia
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

      Sunbutter is a nut butter, but made from sunflower seeds–so it’s packed with all of the wonderful protein and nutrients youre going to love! 🙂

    Thanks for the video and the suggestion on having a green smoothie a day! =) I will checking into green smoothies daily. I now have hope! I’m hoping to get over to the health food store to buy your book. I wish I would have had money on me today!

      You’re SO welcome Monica, that’s awesome! That will help you get off of all of the most likely culprits, and should make it enjoyable at the same time. And the green smoothies are magical–seriously. I don’t think we mentioned we have a green smoothie ebook that should be out in the next week or two–we’re aiming to launch it before St. Patricks Day, but those will flood your body with nutrients you’re starving for, and will lesson sugar cravings at the same time.
      We talked extra virgin olive oil, make sure to find some pure EVOO and have at least 2 tablespoons throughout every day–that will help your body absorb the nutrients you’ll be eating and drinking. And the omega 3 fatty acids in it are essential for anyone fighting autoimmune disease. You’re incredible & we’re excited to hear how you’re doing!! 🙂 xo

    Can you please do a video on how to make your own coconut milk, oil, flour?!?!??!?!

    This smoothie looks delicious…I’m going to make one tomorrow!

      I stand corrected–you’re so right Sophie, Sunbutter is NOT a nut butter, but from sunflower SEEDS, lol! Thanks for straightening me out! 🙂 I’ve even made Sunbutter, so I know those were seeds I used. Thanks for the request, we’ll add it to our list and get it posted as soon as we can.
