Heads up: Cinnamon may be a blood thinner, so ask a doctor before use, especially if you take any sort of blood thinners.
AND HOW SAFE IS STEVIA??? Stevia is an herb that has been thought to be helpful in fighting high blood pressure and improving insulin, which may be beneficial for diabetics. It is also full of anti-oxidants, which we love! We look for stevia that isn’t branded with a trademark of any kind…we could write a book about why, but for the best, safest results, go for raw organic stevia. Stevia has recently been given a bad rap, with controversy over it being an endocrine disruptor, which can disrupt the hormonal balance and could possibly be a health concern. We feel that the stevia plant itself is incredible, rich in antioxidants, and it’s leaves even contain an ingredient that can help in reversing cancer, rather than causing it. WE BELIEVE that the problem with stevia is if it has been altered in anyway. We grow our own, right inside our kitchens, and highly recommend it. If you choose to buy it, we’d say to make sure it’s pure organic green stevia powder or pure stevia extract. We will add some affiliate links to some that we believe to be safe and rich in nutrients.
If you’re looking for a great skin toner, look no more! Just apply this recipe to skin (when cool) with a cotton ball, and get ready for a wonderful anti-aging treat! It will gently cleanse, while hydrating and adding wonderful antioxidants at the same time.
CINNAMON TEA SHOPPING LIST:
It’s so important to make sure your ingredients are pure, organic or they may not truly be anti-inflammatory. In fact, we believe chemically laden ingredients can do more harm than good, which completely defeats the purpose. For that reason, we like to help you by linking to some of the items we truly believe in. We’ve reached out to many of them and added them as affiliates as long as their focus was as pure as ours. K, enough of that, here ya go…
- freshly ground organic cinnamon – if you’ve ever ground anything into powder, you’ve been shocked at how much it took to get that little sprinkling of powder…so my point is spices are highly concentrated. Because of that, we feel it’s essential to use only organic herbs and spices.
- pure stevia powder or raw honey
- 1 cup water – warm, not hot
- freshly ground organic cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon raw honey – 1 heaping teaspoon or 1/4 teaspoon green raw stevia powder to taste
AND here are links to both of our cookbooks that we think you’ll LOVE!
