Sour Grape Smoothie

If you like tart, this sour grape smoothie’s for you. It’s sweet, and a little tart and a perfect refresher for a hot summer day.

When we first moved into our home, we found a sale on grape vines and not knowing a thing about how to grow grapes, we took the plunge and planted 1/2 dozen grape vines. And boy did we, soon the entire side of our house was covered in beautiful intertwined leafy vines and the cutest clusters of grapes everywhere.

As we live in “awe”

of the magnificent beauty

that surrounds us,

our loads begin to lighten,

our burdens begin to soften,

and every step we take

begins to open us up

to so much more meaning

than ever before.

Later we learned that one vine can cover an entire arbor, so 6 plants was enough to dwarf Jack and the beanstalk any day. But we utilized those grapes, freezing, juicing, and devouring. We even used the leaves in our smoothies.

So this drink is a tribute to our beloved grapes and get ready because you’re in for a wonderfully nutritious and tasty treat.

Sweet Tart Summer Smoothie

Sour Grape Smoothie

1 cup water
1 cup frozen green grapes
1/2 fresh lime, peeled
1 Tablespoon raw honey (or 8- drops stevia)
1/2 scoop Plant Protein Powder
1 – 1 1/2 teaspoons dehydrated Blendfresh 12 Fruits & Veggies (orange or green)
1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 handfuls ice cubes

Place all ingredients in a high powered blender and mix until smooth. Serve.
