Benefits of peppers
WEIGHT Loss – Have you heard they can help you lose weight? That’s a “may” because they contain an ingredient called capsaicin, which is famous for giving them their kick, but it also boosts our metabolism, and may aid in burning the fat. The hotter the peppers, the greater the amount of capsaicin, so that’s great if you are a lover of hot, not so great if you’re a wimp. HEART Health – Some peppers contain lots of Vit B vitamins, folate, which are vitamins that studies have shown to lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, and cardiovascular disease in women.
C0NTR0L Cholesterol – Hot peppers contain capsaicin, which has been shown to have the ability to protect against buildup of cholesterol in the blood.
CANCER Fighting Properties – Do you know the difference between green peppers and red peppers? The red ones are allowed to vine ripen, so they turn red, and also contain much greater nutritional value. Red peppers are rich in cartenoids, which have been shown to be very effective in reducing the risk of breast cancer.
